Truly a terrible blogger

Man, I sure haven’t tumblr-ed in a while.  I mean, weeks ago my own aunt sent me an article about a bear safety talk being interrupted by a bear, and I haven’t even posted it till now!

I am truly a terrible blogger.

I guess I’ll make up for it by reblogging a bunch of stuff you probably saw in May on better blogs.

Here’s an XKCD comic to make amends:

Alert reader Dakota Smith recently let me know about one of nature’s most fantastic meta-splosions.  Check this shit out:
Out in Southeast Asia are the Philippine islands, and the island of Luzon is the biggest of the archipelago.  Now get this—- on Luzaon is a lake called Lake Taal, created by the Taal Volcano.  Taal Lake has it’s own island, Crater Island, which has it’s own tiny little lake, Crater Lake.  And Crater Lake has an island, too!!  That’s the little spec in the picture.  It’s called Vulcan Point.
So there’s an itty bitty island on a tiny lake on a tiny island, in small lake on, on a small island, in a giant lake called the Pacific.  GWAAAAHAHAH!!!!
It’s also quite pretty.  There’s a cool slideshow about it on Treehugger.

I know I post a lot of pictures of animals. But this has to be one of most beautiful photographs (of anything) that I’ve ever seen. Holy.

See, right about now I’m wondering if they’re singing songs about the lake to the lake.
